ARTivity on the Green is an art themed urban park in downtown Winston-Salem. The .5 acre park located in the Arts District includes a sculptural ‘ribbon’ shelter that functions as a performance stage, a whisper sculpture, and a fun and interesting architectural element. The seven steel ribbons represent the seven natural notes of a musical octave. In addition to the ribbon sculpture, the park features misting towers, a mural wall, and rolling grassy hills. Multiple arts based events and festivals are held in and around the park each year. The mural wall features up to ten local artists and is repainted each spring. The rolling grassy hills reflect the geography of the Foothills and Piedmont Triad.
