Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) Master Planning

Friends Home Master Plan Expansion
Located at the intersection of Guilford College Road and Friendly Ave in Greensboro, the Friends Home CCRC campus is planning an expansion of the “Guilford Campus” and the “West Campus.” With zoning requests approved by the City of Greensboro in the summer, Stimmel teamed with Stewart & Conners Architects, and began the formal design and development of Phase 1 of the Master Plan. 
Friends Homes West: A $57 million expansion with the addition of 54 villa apartments, 8 two-bedroom townhomes, & 11 three-bedroom cottages. The project will also add 32,807 sq. ft. to the community’s wellness center, offering more fitness options & a new sports court. Additionally, a bistro eatery with a pizza oven & outdoor dining complete the enhanced community amenities. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2022.
Friends Homes Guilford: Located on Guilford College Road, Friends Home Guilford’s $10 million expansion included the addition of 20 one-story townhomes.
