As the largest expansion in Cone Health history, construction of the $200 million, 6-story North Tower was completed at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. The expansion consisted of: Demolition, Phasing, and Relocation of current services including a new Central Energy Plant, Loading, Parking and Access throughout a 3 year construction schedule. In addition, new main entrances and circulation for the 50 acre campus including a Healing Garden for patients, staff and visitors by the central drop-off.
The North Tower project achieved LEED-Silver Certification, reflecting socially responsible design.
