Kinderton is a 300+ acre mixed-use, neo-traditional community located in eastern Davie County, North Carolina. The community consists of single-family, multi-family and commercial sites. The 30-acre commercial center focuses around a Village Green similar to those found in colonial villages and towns.
The design objective was to create a village-style community that provides spaces and details, as well as create a unique community and local identity with emphases on human scale and a pedestrian environment like those found in turn-of-the-century Savannah or Charleston.
